Features

Intended use:

Gynecology leucorrhea smear staining is rapid-to-use for multi-check of women leucorrhea smears.

Principle:

This kit is an improvement of the Romanowsky Stain technique. It includes acid stain (Eosin) and alkaline stain (Methylene blue). For different cells, the affinity to the acid and alkaline stains varies. Thus, different cells will exhibit different colors after staining, rendering its shape and characteristics identifiable.

Methods:

Drip-drop method

1. After smear dries out, add a few drops of Solution A to cover the entire specimen. Stain for 20~30s.

2. Throw off the Solution A.

3. Add a few drops of Solution B to cover the entire specimen for 30s to 1min.

4. After drying, examine the finished slide under a microscope.

Dip method

Buffer Preparation: Dissolve 1 pack of phosphate buffer powder into 1000ml distilled water.

1. After smear dries out, dip the smear into Solution A for 20~30s.

2. Rinse Solution A on the smear with buffer in a jar. Throw off the buffer.

3. Dip the smear into Solution B 30s to 1min.

4. After drying, examine the finished slide under a microscope.

Precaution:

1. Tightly cap the reagent bottle immediately after use to avoid evaporation.

2. Do not use the reagents beyond the stated expiration date. Store the kit in a cool dry place and avoid direct sunlight.

3. At lower room temperature in winter, extend the staining time as needed.

4. Gynecology Leucorrhea Smear Stain is for clinical and research lab use only. Interpretation of staining results should be disposed with care as biohazardous materials by following local EPA guidelines.

Validity:

The validity period of the original packaging unopened dyeing solution is 24 months, and the opened dyeing solution within the validity period should be used within 6 months after opening, and the cap should be tightened in time after each use to avoid volatilization or deterioration.

Storage conditions:

This reagent should be stored in a relative humidity of not more than 80%, no corrosive gas and well-ventilated 5 °C ~ 25 °C environment.

Sample requirements:

Vaginal discharge (gynecological leucorrhea) smear staining: fresh specimens should be immobilized with flame or alcohol as soon as possible after leaving the human smear to avoid cell deformation.
